It's Starting to Look Like Christmas!

Today the temperatures dropped into the 50s down from the 70s yesterday.  You can feel Christmas and the excitement in the air around our house!  We decorated today...

Our weekend has been full of shopping, parties, practices, and decorating.  Friday night, we volunteered at the Angels of Light program put on by our church.  The whole production is put on every night for a week...South campus' night to serve was Friday night.  Darrell was a bus captain where the buses go and pick up children and their families from inner Houston and bring them back to the church.  This is where we feed them, talk to them about Jesus, put on a Christmas puppet show and give them toys.  It was a blessing to be able to see the faces on the kids faces as they experienced God's love.

Saturday was full of shopping!!!  Darrell and I are trying to save a little money by making some of our gifts this year.  Hopefully we get it all done in time.  I am proud to say that I have created, printed, and mailed all the Christmas cards already!  That is always a challenge, but this year instead of having them professionally made (we wanted to save money)...so I took the picture and created the card online.  They were delivered to my door a few days later.  Woo hoo!

Ashlee and I are committed to the Kids Crazy Christmas Show this year.  It's a major production and tons of fun for the kids.  Click here if you would like to see the details in case you want to bring the family.  It is totally free and open to anyone who wants to come!!!  Anyways, we have been practicing like crazy!  I am going to be behind the scenes doing the puppets while Ashlee will be dancing with the GIGL team.  We will have 15 performances before it is all said and done.  Lot's of work, but absolutely loving it!

Wish the grandkids were here this week to help us put up all our decorations. We still have pumpkins and a scarecrow hanging out around our house :) Love, Gma

That's funny because we still have our pumpkins! I can't make myself throw them away. They are still to pretty to get rid of.
